The Hong Kong Jockey Club

Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the Government in combatting illegal gambling. The Club is Hong Kong's largest single taxpayer and one of the city's major employers.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust is one of the world's leading charity donors. Working with the Government, non-governmental organisations and community partners, the Club's Charities Trust proactively seeks out the root causes of social issues, bringing multiple and cross-sectoral parties together to address them through innovative approaches. While the Trust funds a wide range of projects, it is placing special emphasis on six areas – "Positive Ageing & Elderly Care", "Youth Development & Poverty Alleviation", "Healthy Community", "Talent & Sector Development", "Sports & Culture", and "Sustainability".
